Haylee Simmons

Born and raised in Ellicott City, Maryland, Haylee Simmons is an honors graduate of Centennial High School and currently attends Howard Community College, where she is pursuing studies in Nursing and Dance Education. She is a YPAD-Certified Dance Educator and has also completed the NFHS Cheer and Dance Safety Certification, furthering her education in safe, age-appropriate instruction, dancer wellness, and responsible teaching practices.

Haylee brings three years of teaching experience in both recreational and competitive dance and has developed a special passion for working with young dancers. She loves creating an encouraging classroom environment where little dancers can build confidence, coordination, musicality, technique, and most importantly, a genuine love of dance.

Throughout her own competitive dance career, Haylee performed in several pieces that received Industry Dance Awards nominations, giving her experience training and performing at a high competitive level. Her passion for the art has also extended into choreography. Haylee has choreographed pieces performed onstage at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World and has worked alongside Monsters of Hip Hop alumni to co-create award-winning competitive choreography.

Haylee brings together her experience as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer with continued education in dance, youth safety, and healthcare. Her nurturing personality, creativity, and enthusiasm for developing young dancers make her a valued member of the Backstage faculty.
