Studio & Tuition Policies

Tuition payments, including the registration fee, are due at the time of registration. Monthly tuition payments are due by the 1st of each month, from September 2025 through May 2026. Payments will be accepted between the 1st and the 15th of each month. Statements will be emailed on the 1st of each month. A valid VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express card must be kept on file. Card payments are subject to a 3.75% processing fee, while ACH payments incur a 1.75% processing fee. For cash or check payments, these must be made at the front desk before the 1st of the month. Please make checks payable to Backstage Dance Studio LLC. Tuition is $95 per month per class. Multi Class discounts, First responder discounts and sibling discounts available, please send us and email to inquire about discounts. Discounts are not automatically applied to accounts, you must request discounts to be applied.
All students must be enrolled in AutoPay. On the 1st of each month, the card on file will be charged for the outstanding balance. If payments are made by cash or check, they must be paid before the 1st of each month. AutoPay processing fees are 3.25% for card payments and 1.25% for ACH payments.
A 5% late fee will be applied to any outstanding balance after the 15th of the month. If payment remains unpaid, students may be temporarily removed from class until the account is brought current. Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable once a class is attended. A $30.00 fee will be assessed for any returned checks, and the balance must be settled via credit card or cash.

Summer 2025 TUITION PAYMENTS

SUMMER 2025 TUITION PAYMENTS / DISCOUNTS
Summer Weekly Class Tuition Options are as follows:
1 Month: $90 per month per class
2 Months: $85 per month per class (must be selected in advance)
3 Months: $80 per month per class (must be selected in advance)To receive the 2- or 3-month discounted rate, you must commit upfront and email us at backstagedancestudio@gmail.com prior to your first payment so we can manually adjust your tuition. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively or changed mid-summer. If you prefer to decide month-to-month, tuition will remain $90 per month per class without a discount.

To reserve before or after care, please email the studio with your requested dates at least 48 hours prior to the day you need care. No refunds for summer camps, students must pay in full at time of registration.
2025 Summer POP UP CLASS
Pop up classes require students to pay in full at the time of registration. Cash payments are not accepted for pop up classes students must be registered and paid in full online prior to attending class. No refunds will be issues for pop up classes or master classes. We understand that families may travel and vacation during the summer. If your child needs to miss a class, we will happily offer a make-up class at another time that works with your schedule. Our summer session is flexible to accommodate such needs!Summer 2025 ABSENCES

Absences can be made up within one month. Please inquire if you would like to make up a missed class. Refunds will not be issued for missed classes.Summer 2025 CLASS WITHDRAWAL AND REFUNDS
Dancers may withdraw from Summer 2025 recreational classes without penalty, provided written notification is received prior to the 1st of the month in which withdrawal is requested. Once a class is attended or tuition is paid in any given month, tuition paid is non-refundable and non-transferable. Withdrawal requests must be made in writing via email to bsds.registrar@gmail.com. No refunds will be issued for any reason. All students are automatically enrolled for the entire summer program June 2025 - August 2025 and responsible for the full season payment unless they withdraw prior to the 1st via email.Summer 2025 CREDITS
Any account credits issued by Backstage Dance Studio may only be used for summer 2025 classes and are not redeemable for cash or transferable. All credits expire on August 31st of the calendar year they are given. The studio reserves the right to deny the use of credits at the owner's discretion.Summer 2025 MINIMUM ENROLLMENT
A minimum of six students per class is required for the class to proceed. If this minimum is not met, the class may be canceled or combined with a similar class. You will be notified via email if any changes occur. You may withdraw from the class with a full refund if withdrawal is requested in writing within 7 days of being notified of the class change.Summer 2025 POP-UP CLASSES / MASTER CLASSES / CAMPS
Pop-up classes, master classes, and camps require full payment at the time of registration. There are no refunds for these events. -
A non-refundable registration fee of $50 is due at the time of registration, with an additional $25 fee per sibling within the same family. This fee is not transferable and is not redeemable for cash.

Regular attendance is essential for both individual progress and group success. Students are expected to attend all classes. If a student misses more than 10% of their classes, they may be excluded from participating in the year-end recital. Attendance is particularly important in March and April as recital preparations intensify. Show Troupe dancers should refer to their Show Troupe Contract for specific attendance requirements.

Students may withdraw from recreational classes without penalty until November 1, 2025. After this date, the parent/guardian will be responsible for the full annual tuition. Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing via email to Backstagedancestudio@gmail.com. Once a class is attended in any given month, tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. The registration fee is non-refundable. Refunds, when applicable, will be credited to the account as studio credit, which is not redeemable for cash, nor transferable, and expires on December 31st of the year in which it was issued.

The cost for each recreational class costume is $95, and combo classes (e.g., mini or petite ballet/tap, mini ballet/jazz) are $125. This is due by November 1, 2025, when costumes are ordered. No costumes will be ordered if payment is not received by this date. Costumes are non-refundable. The studio is not responsible for alterations, which are the responsibility of the dancer or their family. Show Troupe dancers should refer to their Show Troupe Contract for costume details.

A recital fee of $75 per student or $100 per family includes two recital tickets and dress rehearsal participation. A complimentary digital download of the recital will be provided to all families by August 1, 2026. This fee is due by November 1, 2025, when costumes are ordered. Recital fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No tickets will be issued if there is an outstanding balance on your account as of May 1, 2026. Additional tickets will be available for purchase in April on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students must arrive on time and dressed according to the dress code. Failure to adhere to the dress code will prevent participation in class. All students must have the correct shoes and attire by the second week of class. The dress code will be available on the studio website in August. Students are expected to behave respectfully at all times. Severe misconduct, bullying, or inappropriate social media behavior may result in immediate dismissal from the studio with no refunds. Financial responsibility for the remainder of the season’s tuition will remain with the student’s family.

Parents are invited to attend designated Visiting Days, held twice a year, to observe their child's progress. On visiting days parents will be invited into the dance room for the last 10 minutes of class to watch the recital dance performed. Dates and times will be provided via email. Visitors are not permitted in the classroom except on designated Visiting Days.

Studio updates and important announcements are communicated via email and occasionally via text message. It is your responsibility to keep your contact information updated with the studio. Please notify us of any changes. For any questions or concerns, please email backstagedancestudio@gmail.com.

Students should not be dropped off earlier than 15 minutes before class and must be picked up within 15 minutes after class ends. A fee of $20.00 will be charged for every 15-minute interval (or portion thereof) for early drop-offs or late pick-ups. This policy does not apply to students waiting for siblings. Please ensure prompt pick-up for all students. If there are special circumstances regarding late pick-up, please notify the studio via email at backstagedancestudio@gmail.com.

Students are not to be dropped off at the studio any earlier than 15 minutes prior to their first class and must be picked up no later than 15 minutes following the conclusion of their final class of the day. A fee of $20.00 will be assessed for every 15 minutes, or portion thereof, for early drop-offs and late pick-ups. This does not apply to students waiting for siblings to finish their last class of the day. Students MUST be picked up on time for the last class of the night. If you have a barrier to picking your student up on time, please send an email to backstagedancestudio@gmail.com.

For liability reasons, individuals under the age of 18 who are not enrolled in a class may not remain unsupervised in the studio. Parents or guardians must remain in the studio during class if their child is not attending.

By enrolling, you grant permission for Backstage Dance Studio to take photographs and videos of students for promotional purposes. These images and videos may be used in studio marketing materials and social media. If you would like to decline you must notify the studio in writing.

Please note that both the dance rooms and lobby areas are equipped with video and audio recording devices for security purposes.

By enrolling in Backstage Dance Studio, the parent/guardian and student acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with dance programs. The parent/guardian agrees to release the studio, its employees, directors, and volunteers from all liability in the event of injury or incident. The studio is not liable for injuries that may occur while traveling to or from classes or events or while on Backstage Dance Studios property.

In the event of any legal action related to the enforcement of these policies or an alleged dispute, breach, or default, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney's fees and other costs incurred in connection with the action or proceeding, in addition to any other relief awarded.

Payment for pop-up classes, master classes, and camps is due at the time of registration. These events are non-refundable.
